Are we doomed?

Companies and factories appear to be closing down wherever we look. Yet the only action the government appears able to take is to pump umpteen billions of pounds into the failed banks. Have we all gone mad? I wouldn’t mind if it seemed to be working, but so far things look grim. Let’s hope the economy picks up soon.

  1. The situation is not very different here in Argentina. The difference is that nobody is saying a word about it, and the government pretend nothing is going on. To make matters worse political tension is mounting, and our president has decided to hold Congress elections five months before scheduled, to avoid further problems…well, I guess they want to run away in some way…
