How old are you (in days)?
Still working hard, still taking up to 2 hours to get home on a night-time (public transport is a bit of a shambles on an evening around Oxford). My guess is I’m not going to find a lot of time to post here before the holidays. So, I’m taking the opportunity to wish all who lurk here a happy Christmas and a healthy and active New Year. All the best!
Well, I’ve been lying low in these dark winter days. Apologies to people who’ve posted here who I haven’t replied to. Well, things are looking up – I bought a couple of Xmas prezzies tonight from our local Borders store. Tomorrow I’m going to London, to meet up with a friend who’s moved from Madrid to England. Should keep me away from the terminal screen for a few hours at least. Plus, it’s forecast to be sunny tomorrow so I should have a good walk around. Things are now good!
The contract’s been agreed, I’ve got the overdraft to enable me to survive 2 months before I get paid, and I start work tomorrow. If I perform adequately, you won’t see much of me over the next few months (may be an occasional weekend post). There again, if I completely mess up I’ll probably do something drastic (let’s hope it doesn’t come to that). One thing (and I know it’s a small thing) that I’m not looking forward to is getting new ids and passwords to use on the IT systems. I seem to be creating new id/password sets everyday now, and it gets really annoying. Often I set the browser or computer to remember the password automatically – doesn’t seem much point in having the password!
Hello to all who may stumble across this blog. I’m a 40 something Brit, currently residing in Oxford, England. My previous blog was Platform27Blogbut I’m now upgrading to this site.
Any comments or suggestions will be gratefully received. By the way, if there are any Brits lurking there, have a look at my web-site BackhomeUK and let me know if you know any useful additions to the site.
Well, I can see there’s quite a lot to explore here, so I’ll see you later!
